Background
As one of the largest pharmacy store chains in the United States, Walgreens is a household name. Walgreens specializes in filling prescriptions, photo services, health and wellness products, and selling everyday essentials.
My role & responsibilities
Designer in a 7-10 person team. My duties consists of:
- Leading art direction during photoshoots
- Creating fresh new creative for the digital weekly ad
- Mocking up in-store displays
- Designing digital and print marketing materials
Digital weekly ad
The digital weekly ad, available on the Walgreens website and mobile app, allows customers to see the weekly deals available at Walgreens. New creative is created each week for various categories ranging from beauty to personal care to groceries. Simple additions such as a notebook with glasses or a steaming hot cup of coffee alongside K-cup pods help tie in the products and visually tell a story.
Although no longer in production Walgreens use to have print circulars that would show the deals happening for the week. The use of layout and hierarchy on the page allowed for the large amount of information to be displayed cleanly and tell a story.
Walgreens’ gifting guides and mailers are mailed out to customers during the holidays to help with their shopping.
